We were fishing with the kids off the seawall on the Intracoastal Waterway when I noticed an elderly couple sitting on a bench, enjoying the view. They didn't say much to each other, but it was clear that they didn't have to: there was a harmony between them that needed no words, built on a shared lifetime.
