DAILY PAINTING: "Sorry, Wrong Number"

10-03-15: The pastel / construction paper elements have been cut out and placed onto the surface of the painting, which is a fair test of the concept. Keep in mind that the photo does not capture the subtleties of the real work. Also, pastels are a dry medium, compared to paint which is wet, so the one can only approximate the other, at best. But it still gives a good enough idea of the direction.

Hopefully, the paint surface will allow the next layer to be put down tomorrow. We've had quite a bit of rain here this week, and we all know that atmospheric conditions do effect oil paint's drying properties (though nothing can stop acrylic from drying!, which is sometimes a plus and sometimes not).
